I own a Lumix FZ5, although that's 3 years old by now. I accidentally tore off the release button when I got the camera out in a hurry and had to get a replacement part (which proved to be so difficult and time-consuming that I simply bought a new camera before the spare part arrived). Other than that, the camera was fine...or is. I still have it, but rarely get to use it.

My K800i camera phone was stolen. The cameras I am looking at are:

Canon 400D with 18-55mm and Tamron 55-200mm lens, 10 megapixel SLR.

Fujifilm S100fs with 28-400mm equiv. image stabilisation, wide angle lens. Also features mechanical zoom and manual focus rings, which is something I really, really like.

I had my sights set on the Panasonic DMC-FZ50 but that's getting on a bit.

I have a crappy old Fuji that just barely works, but I might be buying my sisters' Canon (A7xx something...).

I do have a Panasonic microwave, but the pictures it takes are all delicious and warm and not really picture at all.....
