Thread: Xbox Live question about subscription cards

  1. #1

Default Xbox Live question about subscription cards

What is the difference between this....

Newegg.com - Microsoft XBOX 360 Live 12 Month Gold Card

    And this card...

Newegg.com - Microsoft XBOX Live 12 Month Subscription

Anyone know? The only difference I see is that one is much cheaper.

There's one difference: size :P They work the same, it's just a code number on the back anyway that counts.

Although, it's chaper to get a subscription by internet, with a credit card. And it usually comes with a perk.

    Im guessing the subscrition
does let you play online but it takes out many features
    that the gold membership
    unless they just called differently

Nope, it's either you have Gold (unlocks all features with a fee) or Silver (little feauters, with no fee)

    oh the subscrition
was a 24 hour thing that Xbox released giving 12 month gold for a cheaper price
due to the fact they gonna raise the price next year by 5 bucks

That seems to be the only difference. They'll both give you 12 months of Xbox Live Gold.

For example, when Halo:Reach came out, they were selling memberships that included special from the game that you could use in your avatar. Oh, an plus 15% off the original price.

Wrong.... It's cheaper to get the prepaid cards. If you get it online with the credit card it comes out to like $60

Anyway get the cheaper one thing is that one is "Old stock" The more expensive one has the kinect logo and all that jazz so that one is the one that is all new and are charging more for. THat's about the only difference old stock sells for less essentially.
