    Default stupid elbow.....

well my elbow will randomly hurt every once in a while, seems to get worse the colder it is. But today it has been worse than it ever has been. Today every time i have stretch my arm out feels like I'm getting stabbed in the elbow joint (but a lot less pain full its more of a nuisance) its really starting to piss me off because i keep dropping stuff. There is no swelling, no discoloration, no weird popping/cracking noises just slight stabbing pain.

Any body got any ideas about this, because i got no clue what could cause this. Thanks for any help.

(omg i just realized i have posted over 500 times ^^ this makes me happy. lol sorry had to say it)

You might want to see a chiropractor (sp?) about it. Doesn't sound serious. Whatever you do, don't get a hammer and smash your elbow trying to fix it.

i guess that would be a good idea. I was actually suppose to have a bunch of chiropractor sessions after i totaled my four wheeler a couple years back. But only went to one and she only worked on one of my knees (the worst joint problem i had was that knee). also lol omg i think i would take the stabbing pain over the hammer :P

Maybe you just pulled a muscle. Or banged it into something while you were sleeping.
I always get random cuts on my hands... Most likely from hitting things...

    Edit:
Oh, it gets worse in the cold... Didn't see that part.
Maybe you did something to the cartilage.

could have hyperextended yur joint once, my roomie did a wrestling move on me, bent my arm back, and now my elbow randomly hurts sometimes. Also, u could have torn some cartilage in the joint causing it not to be able to bend fully, that's also happened to me, well in my knee anyway.

So, as a general rule it is usually a good idea to see a physician for a new or significantly changed problem before you have any treatment from a chiropractor or any other alternative medical providers (and the good chiropractors/alternative medicine people will agree with this), because they do not have the training to determine what is the underlying problem and it is possible that the therapy they provide might make an underlying problem worse if it has not been adequately diagnosed.

Unfortunately there is no real way to accurately try to come up with a meaningful differential, much less a diagnosis, for elbow pain without actually getting a look at the elbow and a more complete idea of the exact nature of the pain which can't really be done on a forum, and the next best step would be to either see your primary care provider or get a referral to an orthopeadic specialist so you can have a more complete examination and work up and hopefully identify the underlying problem instead of just attempting to manage the symptoms.

So your going with my idea huh? Good idea :P
P.S. Don't try to fix it with a hammer. It doesn't work as well as I thought it would :P
