dude...seriously. Punctuations are not optional in the English language; sorry. As for the topic, i think you're saying that this nursing home is in the ghetto and if it weren't for that fact, you'd like to go there to get your hands on some diapers? Er...just buy some?

I think you got off topic at least twice between your original topic and your post.

Maybe you should try buying diapers rather than stealing them. And I wouldn't wish anybody have to live in a nursing home if they didn't have to. My grandma is moving to one tomorrow, and it kind of sucks that she won't have her old home anymore..

No what I was talking about, there used to be a post about hospital diapers. I was just making an obeservation on what diapers they use. It just shocked me for being a dumpy nursing home in the getto that they would buy that brand. Even the upscale facilities don't use them. Zat for your information I didn't steal any I have 8 cases at home of molicares. Most nursing homes use crappy cheap diapers like most hospitals. The only times I have ever Stole diapers was do to me being incontinent and my diaper was soaked and needed to change before I had a leak. The other times were when I first became incontinent and just took one or two to try A. the right size and B. a good diaper, it would get really expensive to buy a package of diapers to find out they were crap. And for the comment I would want to go there when I get old was kind of a joke. I work in health care and would shoot myself before I would go into a nursing home...........

    Certainly!

I am glad to hear, for once, of an institution using higher quality diapers for once. A couple of years ago, I worked at a hospital--and I only saw Attend diapers. Granted, attends are better than Depends, but I am also genuinely surprised that you saw an institution using Molicares of all things!

I take offense to the use of "ghetto" in that story.

A "ghetto" is a jewish neiborhood, not a run down section of town...

I may be wrong, But I think my history teacher told me that a ghetto was originally ANY ethnic area of town, Jewish, Russian, Italian, Chinese...etc. It was used by the National Socialist party to specifically mean a jewish neiborhood.

You sir have the right to be both offended and wrong. Words go through growth and change in value over time and may be studied by both etymology and current definitions and usage.

    Ghetto ghet·to –noun, plural-tos, -toes.

    1. a section of a city, esp. a thickly populated slum area, inhabited predominantly by members of an ethnic or other minority group, often as a result of social or economic restrictions, pressures, or hardships.

    2. (formerly, in most European countries) a section of a city in which all Jews were required to live.

    3. a section predominantly inhabited by Jews.

    4. any mode of living, working, etc., that results from stereotyping or biased treatment: job ghettos for women; ghettos for the elderly.

    Origin:
1605–15; < It, orig. the name of an island near Venice where Jews were forced to reside in the 16th century < Venetian, lit., foundry for artillery (giving the island its name), n. deriv. of ghettare to throw
