I brought these guys up in another thread, and I decided to post a real thread simply about them. Doctors Without Borders (or MSF as they're known in many countries - short for Médecins Sans Frontières, their official name) is an organization that provides emergency medical relief to some of the worst places on earth. These dedicated men and women with years of medical training put their very lives on the line to provide medical care in places like Chechnya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Haiti, Kosovo, the Sudan, Sierra Leone, and North Korea. Their volunteers have been kidnapped, tortured and even murdered because of their presence in some areas of the world. These people are true heroes.
I beg you, please - if you can spare it, throw a few bucks their way. It's tax deductible, and with tax season coming up, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would like to get a few more deductions.
