    Default Any experience with Bambolina?

Today a friend of mine, visiting Europe with her 10 year old daughter, sent me an e-mail about a brand of disposable baby diapers sold there. These are called Bambolina, apparently a product of Abena.

The size Maxi is labeled for 18kg, which is about 40 pounds. This is similar to the Pampers Cruisers Size 7 sold in the USA. However, Bambolina also come in "Junior" for 25kg (55 pounds) and "XL" for 30kg (65+ pounds).

This friend's daughter often wets her bed. GoodNites and Under Jams have not worked well on her in bed. I believe the girl, who is slender, weighs less than 65 pounds and is perhaps as tall as 4'10" My friend told me she was buying the larger two sizes of the Bambolina and will report if they fit and if so if they reduced the leaking.

What is unclear is if the Bambolina, which are cloth-like with resealable sticky tapes, are intended for older kids to change them without help. That is the best part of GoodNites and Pull-ups for smaller kids.

Never seen those anywhere. Which country are they sold in, as "Europe" is too broad a term to be clear on that.

Based on the name, they seem Italian.

No, they're from the great country of Bambolia. I've been there. It's a place.

    Really.

The manufacturer is in Denmark though, according to the linked website. Plus I'm not sure people in Italy would like diapers such as "Bambino"-diapers, as "bambino" means "child", and adults peeing into children is an aburd idea.

I think that Babmolinas are distributed in the same way that abenas are distributed in europe, ie from Abena's website and through select medical stores that order direct from Abena.

I think these are relatively unheard of, considering that a Google Search of Bambolina Diaper on google brings up this thread on the first page.

Thanksforallthefish et all: I belive the name of these is wrong :X. From what I've seen they're called bambo, or even bambo nature. I've noticed them being sold on a site where I get my abena's from (for a cheap price :P) http://bambonature.co.uk/

Never seen them sold in stores through. They seem to be a specialist eco nappy :X.

Yes, they are also called Bambo but if you look here it seems they're also referred to as bambolina.
