Default Sick of Mainstream? ::Peek Inside::

Alright, this isn't to say that a lot of you haven't heard of these guys, but from what I see in here is a lot of "Oh, I <3 Seether and A7X. Oh, what about Bodom?"

Sure, all great bands, I won't deny, but I'm here to try and open you up to some rarely spoken of bands. Some people might benefit from this, lol.

    Metal & Rock Bands:

    Black Metal: Dimmu Borgir:

A very dark, dark band. Great death metal.

    Dimmu Borgir - Hybrid Stigmata

    Progressive Metal: Dream Theater

A very meaningful band. A story in every song. Also has the greatest guitarist ever.

    Dream Theater- Fatal Tragedy

    Progressive Rock: Kamelot

A band with an old "Medieval" feel to them. This song here actually stars the screamer from Dimmu Borgir.

    KAMELOT - March Of Mephisto

    Techno/Emo/Screamo/Metal: Attack Attack!

This is a great band. Love them to death.

02 Attack Attack! - Stick Stickly

    Rock/Metal: Tool

I'm sure many of you know about Tool. They're a great, calming and ambient band.

    Tool - Schism

    Rap/Hip-Hop Bands

    Flobots:

We all know of their hit-single, "Handlebars", but do we ever check out their other awesome music? They do exactly as their name says. Flow.

    Flobots - Stand Up

    Emo/Screamo

I Set My Friends On Fire:

Most of you have probably heard of these guys before as well. Extreme screaming band. Psychotic feel.

I Set My Friends On Fire - But The NUNS Are Watching WITH LYRICS

    The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus:

I KNOW most of you have heard of them. I just love them and they deserve a spot here anyhow.

    Red Jumpsuit Apparatus-Atrophy

    Circle Takes the Square:

Extreme screaming for the most part. Just a good screamo band.

Circle Takes The Square - Interview At The Ruins

    Techno

    Celldweller:

AMAZING Techno/Screamo artist. Simply one of my favorite people to ever listen to.

    Celldweller - The Last Firstborn

    Pendulum:

I'm sure many of you have heard Pendulum before. Pretty great techno band, they are.

    pendulum - hold your colour

    Dubstep

    Benga:

One of the best dubstep artists out there. Amazing stuff.

    Benga - 26 Basslines

    Babylon System:

[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PQ7_-3NbyU]Babylon System - Examination of Time

    Chase and Status:

Chase and Status - Eastern Jam

For now that's all I feel I need to share.

Let me know if anybody likes anybody new they might see here.

I'll probably update this over time.

Symphony X and Blind guardian are my favorite unknown bands. Both metal bands.

Ahh, I did forget Xandria! Her vocals are godly. I've never heard of edguy.

Symphony X is actually pretty known, however. And I, perosnally, never got into Blind Guardian. :P

It's amazing some of the bands I used to listen to and soon forgot all about them, I'm glad you posted this. Did you go to warped tour this summer?

I've honestly never been to a tour/concert in my life.

I never have the money. I would love to at some point, though.

Should I post all of my suggestions?

Honestly i've fallen in love with KAMELOT.

    Some of my favourites.

Rock: TRAPT (everyone knows them) and BuckCherry (a little less known. Also, for those of you that have seen my child abuse thread in the mature section. I'll be putting a link up for Buckcherry's song "a child called it". The lead singer read the book and felt that he needed to make a song of it.)

    Easy Listning: Sting, NickleCreek

Country (only one artist because i really dont like this genre) Carrie Underwood <3
