sims 4 first person question?

I watched a few videos where you could do first version from toddler through elder and even pets, then I just watched this one video where she tried first person as infant, but it only showed the crib perspective. if you can't control pets and infants or check their needs. why is it different? what do you think it could be other than assuming ea knows something about us?
