    Finally I got a new computer.

    Dell XPS 430

    XPS 430 Intel® Core™2 Q8200 Quad-Core (4MB L2 cache,2.33GHz,1333FSB)
    Operating SystemGenuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition SP1, 64-Bit
    Specifications - Operating System
    Optical DriveSingle Drive: 16X CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) w/double layer write capability
    Memory6GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1066MHz - 4 DIMMs
    Specifications - Memory
    Hard Drive750GB - 7200RPM, SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB Cache
    Specifications - Hard Drive
    Video CardsATI Radeon HD3650 256MB
    Sound CardsIntegrated 7.1 Channel Audio

    23" Full hd monitor

    Beats my old HP nc6000 by a mile. $1300 total setup. I have a deep empty feeling in the pit of my wallet but I'm still in heaven. Of course I still have to transfer all my files to it.

    Everything looks good, asides maybe the video card. I am pretty sure it can still play games but I am not sure how well it can play the newer games.

    then again I am using a 8800GT and it's still doing fairly well.

    Very awesome, even for an OEM machine!!

    Only question is, what're your plans for your old machine?

    Very nice setup, but like fire said if your going to play newer games you will need to change that video card, its slower than 8800s

    mm3> I'll more than likely keep it around and try and upgrade it for collage eventually.

    Siddy> Yeah my next plan is to do a few upgrades on the new machine but $$$$$ is the only problem. *opens wallet moths fly out*

    That is one VERY expensive system, congrats on having it and being able to afford it. I am 2 years in on my current system, meaning I'll squeeze ~3 more years out of it. I typically only dump about $800 in parts per system, a notch below cutting edge can save about $400. That said, I still wouldn't mind having that computer, even if it IS a dell.
