I've always had cats growing up, so I prefer them slightly more. Sorry dogs.

Almost all Dogs I've seen are loud, annoying, and jump all over you cats on the other hand are much nicer.... at least that's been my life experience
 
Everyone knows puppies are the best :D

They're both great, but I don't have time for a dog. Dogs are too needy. Maybe when the kids are off to college and the house is quiet, I'll get a dog. For now, the cats will do.

Despite having cats all my life, I just find them a bit too aloof for my tastes. They only want bothered when they want bothered.

On the other hand, I prefer birds over both cats and dogs.
 
Cats... definately cats.... so low maintenance and softy and cuddly.

Cats. I'm a quiet person and dogs are too loud for my tastes. Cats on the other hand will come to you when they want attention, and you don't have to constantly pay them attention. Give them a window, some food/water, and some kitty toys and their happy.
 
Dogs are really wonderful, they love you no matter what; but my vote has to go with cats. I'd rather live with an independent creature.
 
I have two dogs, actually one is a puppy. They do take a lot of training, but can be extremely obedient and quiet. Best of all they are loyal, kind and very comforting.

My wife also has two cats. They are nearly untrainable, demanding and annoying. I have no idea why anyone likes them.
 
both cats are laid back but dogs are energetic and they smile
