Probably more of a duh question, but here it goes. Are plastic boxers lined around the groin area, or are they like regular boxers and area just open?

I have no idea what you mean. If you mean plastic pants, they are all made from some sort of plastic. Any soft of lined cloth with plastic is generally fully lined with plastic.
