This is more for the ABDL than it is the incontinent folks. But perhaps a stress or light incontinent person that was getting by with pads just said F$$ck it, everyone else is using a real diaper.

Either way let us know what your life would be if adisc and other groups like it never existed. Do you have the guts to be your self and diaper daily?

Answer the poll! . IF you have a better answer than the poll give click other and write it down.

Further more I would love to think @Moo for all his hard work and time he has put in to our community here!

My interest in diapers came about when I was 8 years old. I acted on these desires and I love it when I get to wear. The only computer available as that time was my dad's computer which he used for work. This was back in 1999. I didn't know how to browse the web back then. It wasn't until I moved out of my parents place and went to college when I figured there must be others like me, that I Googled "adults wearing diapers for fun" or something like that until I found the term abdl and found forums like this.

Careful now, @Diaperman95 --you're becoming intrigued by the psychology of it all, like me. 😆

It's an interesting question, for sure. The interplay of desire and stigma, need and fear, is a fascinating dance.

If Adisc exists or not isn't related with my very special vicious.

Factory installed DL here so I’m gonna wear. That said my ease and mind are in a better place with community. ADISC and other diaper content locations are definitely a huge part of that.

I feel like majority would wear nappies even without adisc, we had this special interest before we found adisc we wanted to find like minded folk, no the other way round 💜

Adisc or no adisc I would still be wearing. It was a big help to find Adisc and learn that I wasn't alone though because until finding it I kind of had a feeling of I must be the only person in the world that still wants to wear these and that had weighed heavily on me.

I have been wearing for a very long time. The question whether to wear diapers was the simple choice between hose and bag or diapers was a fairly basic one: Pain and connection failures or the thickness and added diaper cover bulk. A fairly easy choice when a connection failed seriously.

ADISC was more an opportunity to meet those like individuals that where IC as well.

If ADISC never existed, I would still be wearing diapers and diapers covers 24/7 as that is my reality!

Being able to communicate with others and share knowledge has been enjoyable!

I actually discovered this hobby before the internet, let alone ADISC, took off. But I have to admit that the internet helped. And that was in the early days, when everything was still free and 3/4 of the Internet was occupied by porn. Today, 3/4 of the Internet is occupied by advertising. I remember that the AB/DL promotion/publication was started back then by an American couple who had a blog and shared photos. There were also usenet groups and similar before the internet came along in its present form. And I must say that Internet helped me discover myself. It helped a lot. Although I only recently discovered ADISC.

Started long before the interwebs. I remember a print ad in computer magazines back in the '80s with a diapered guy and going "wow!, it's not just me."

I started wearing adult diapers out pure desire in 1998. I only found out about ADISC about a year and a half ago. I'm very glad this forum exists, but I'd be in diapers anyway.

The big thing is the shame and selflothing that I had and ADISC help me gain understanding and acceptance.

I was attracted/addicted to nappies before the internet was born let alone ADISC! It was a very lonely voyage, but we are very lucky to have this brilliant resource now. My internal acceptance would have happened much earlier if ADISC had existed in my youth/adolescence and I had learned that I was not alone.

I voted for the first two together since it’s sort of a combination. I’ve had the interest since high school, I don’t recall wanting them before that. People have told me that’s a bit unusual. So sort of an in between. I have had the desire and interest, and had begun experimenting with diapers before finding ADISC, but the site helped me figure out the ABDL scene and posts I saw here helped me figure out how to solve problems I had run into.

But yeah, adisc just helped me to accept my AB side and to be not alone with my thoughts. And yeah - adisc also helped me to have the experience going to a abdl shop.

I was wearing diapers before ADISC and blindly wandering the internet in search for the "right place," as I felt very isolated about my enjoyment of diapers. I'm glad I found this community! It's certainly given me a plethora of information I otherwise would've been without, and there's a nice community too! Thanks everyone :)

LOL well I have to say I love this group of people. All of them if I disagree with some of their choices as they do mine I am sure. I just want to see what makes people here tick. It is hard to come up with topics not already beat into the ground. Like do people really care what diaper I am wearing. I mean if they got to know today I dared to be different and it is cxp medicals beyond 5000. A very good friend from this group purchased me a bag a while back and I still had a few left.

I really am amazed how many people are into diapers though. I guess I am sucked into this group. Even if Mine is for need I cant much imagine life without. But I seen this site for years and to be honest was a bit judgemental until I seen all the other IC members and the knowledge of diapers and tips from the non IC members as well. The ABDL side has done nothing except make me feel welcome. You are a good friend and did me a solid favor too. This really is the most friendly group of people. I just want to understand them better and understand the impact ADISC has made in their life. I know it has helped me. Especially now getting the gift of bowel IC. I got some of my best clean up tips from here. Like using blue pads to remove the bulk of stool before wiping.
