Default Favorite Christmas / Holiday show?

Every year, I have trouble getting past the commercialistic aspects of what Christmas has become. But, when I see my favorite christmas shows, it kind of gets me back in the right frame of mind. I have 2 to start out the thread.

My absolute eternal favorite is:

A Charlie Brown Christmas

It so reminds me of christmas as a child, and a simpler existence. The soundtrack absolutely kills. And its calm.

Next, Rocko's Modern Christmas

Rocko ummm, well, rocks. SPUNKYYYYYYY!

I actually like Santa Claus is coming to town, the claymation cartoon from like the 70's o.o I almost kind of have to watch it every year.

Charlie Brown Christmas is the undisputed winner in my mind. I absolutely love that movie and the music in it is so classic.

Charlie Brown wins hands down for animated short.

For a movie, Miracle on 34th Street.

By far it's Rudolf The Red Nosed Reindeer. I remember when it came out way back in 1964 and I was a little 6 year old boy. I can remember taking my bath early and having my bed time cloth diapers put on so I would not miss any of it. I also love It's a Wonderful Life too.

You took the words out of my mouth. That, and the Rudolf that is like it are my favorite movies, of ALL times.

See, I don't know the names of Christmas movies, but I know them when I see them! Like the one animated Roudolf movie with the fairies, I like that! And a few others that I can't think of off the top of my head.

I never really got into those 30minute 'specials' at Christmas...
  1. Frosty the Snowman
  2. Santa Claus is Coming to Town
  3. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer (the one with the elf that wants to be a dentsit)
  4. The Little Drummer Boy
  5. A Charlie Brown Christmas
  6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original animated version with Boris Karloff)
  7. Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus
  8. Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
  9. etc

I preferred the movies
  1. White Christmas
  2. Holiday Inn
  3. Miracle on 34th Street (the black & white versions)
  4. A Christmas Carol (the black & white version)
  5. The Sound of Music (even tho' it's not really a Christmas film, it was always shown every year at Christmas)
  6. etc
