Oh, also, I'll warn you: it's not very similar to a lot of their other music. It's more modern, and it has a lot to do with where they were at the time: Germany.

My favourite concert would have to be when Elton John came to Tallahassee last November....pure ownage. I also love to go to Jimmy Buffett concerts. Also I'd love to see 'The Choirboys' live.

I've been to many concerts, and most of them were amazing, especially the big festivals (Except maybe for Taste of Chaos a while back, The Used and Killswitch Engage were pretty much the height of the show, and I'm not really into either of them)

That being said:

The Mars Volta/At the Drive-In have such an amazing energy through their entire show. Their ability to improvise makes it so worth seeing live. Seen them a couple times and I'm going again in a couple weeks (win).

I saw Iron Maiden early this summer... they were ****ing awesome, I can now die a happy man.

A New Found glory is great live, also a great energy, plus I <3 that band enough that I've endured The Early November and Fall Out Boy more than once to see them. (ok... maybe I like FOB a little)

*keeps digging though old ticket stubs*

Holy yes. Almost everyone at Rock the Bells '07 in NYC. Rage Against the Machine, The Roots, Cage, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Cypress Hill, Immortal Technique, and Jedi Mind Tricks... all in the same spot. I was basically in heaven.

I went to another fest with State Radio, The Wailers, Jurassic 5, Dropkick Murphys and 311. Everyone came out ready to put on an amazing show and they did.

I saw Say Anything once, they exceeded my expectations for what I heard about their live shows for sure. According to the vocalist, it was because Boston had such energy in the crowd, go us.

Gwar, 'nuff said.

Lastly, I went to go see Boys Night Out one time (well, twice, once in a small venue and once at Warped Tour, but I didn't enjoy one act at Warped Tour... I just got real muddy) anyways, BNO was awesome, probably the one I will remember best, as I was the least impaired going in.
Hmm, best festival concert I ever went to was the WHFS-tival in D.C. in 1994. Counting Crows, Henry Rollins, The Ramones, Violent Femmes, and many others were on the billing. Quite a show.

My favorite thus far was actually a 3-group performance. Lifehouse was the headliner - they were opened by Matt Nathanson, who was opened by Honeyhoney. I actually thought Matt had a better live performance than Lifehouse. Honeyhoney is a small, no-name group, but they're pretty good. All three groups are on iTunes, check 'em out.

I saw the Eagles this summer. They were phenomenal, but the concert was 3.5 hours long. Still, the best was saved for last - Take It Easy and Desperado

Styx, Switchfoot, and Kansas all put on decent shows. I wouldn't need to see them again, but they were cool. Boys Like Girls is coming to my college soon. I'm not crazy-nuts about them, but I think they're good enough that I ought to go.

I'm jealous of whoever is going to see Brad Paisley, and whoever's seen Counting Crows.

NIA FTW! Though the NEC arena is pretty good too, if you are in the front row.

Hmmm, too bad, I didn't see this thread till now.

The best concert I have seen so far is when TOOL came to Toronto. It was pitch black with only one spot light on Maynard just sitting there on a stool watching the crowd, 30,000 people all holding up their lighters, cell phones and what not in the air, and it was completely silent. Being there and seeing that sent massive shivers up and down my spine, I actually cried being there.

But I can't wait till Daft Punk comes back to Toronto, cause that will have to pwn all of the concerts that I have seen, hands down. C'mon, it's Daft f-king Punk!

Thread Revival in process, Standby, in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1...

*Boom*

Arlo Guthrie, it's the only concert I've been to, therefore the best. (Actually it was very good.)

Do any of you even know who Arlo Guthrie is?
