Best shows I've been to: Andrew W.K., followed closely by Rammstein.
While Andrew W.K.'s shows are always chock-full of positive, friendly energy (and he himself was a gem to meet both times -- I could talk for hours about his splendidness), Rammstein's were absolutely awe-inspiring when it came to their visuals. Unfortunately, Rammstein has soured their taste in my mouth with their recent two albums, and they haven't come around the States to play for about six years. When they come back, though, I'll put my differences aside and go see them -- they're just that amazing on-stage, especially in a small-club arena. I've been to probably over a hundred concerts, from Gwar to NIN to Arch Enemy to Billy Joel to KMFDM to Covenant, Hanzel Und Gretyl, Linkin Park (awesome show, too), Mindless Self Indulgence, Zyklon B (Sammoth taught me how to headbang to metal one-on-one, no joke -- a story for another time, I suppose), and the list goes on, and on, and on. |

Only ones I really been to have been Acquire The Fire and BattleCry events. They are christian youth rally so needless to say its all christian bands. However it ranged from rap to rock, thankfully no hymns and only a small bit of rap.
Anyway the best band I guess would of had to been either Pillar or P.O.D. Christians can really mosh, of course there was not a lot of violence in it. |
