I think i might have the record for the most ear problems.
I had so many things wrong with my ears when i was little. I went to the hospital probably two or three times a year with an ear infection, or needing to get a tube replaced. My ear's failed major. But yeah, they can get really bad, like mine did. I can still remember the agonizing pain. =/ Get yourself to the doctor. Hopefully there's nothing to serious. |

As always, there are a number of things it could be, and the best approach is to see your Primary Care Provider (no need for a specialist here at this point) to determine the exact nature, since there is really no way for us to definitively tell without being able to exam the ear, the history could allow me to be fairly confident if I knew a few more things, however, I wouldn't feel comfortable stating any concrete recommendations off of that alone in this case.
As far as the possible treatments... Don't necessarily assume you will be receiving antibiotics when you see your doctor, a large number of processes that occur with the ear are not bacterial so there has been a trend away from prescribing a penicillin or z-pack to every ear infection that we see, if it is even infectious. |

OK well I haven't read any of the other post but I'm pretty sure of what you have i get when I Got it once. So if you did get water into it then you developed swimmer's ear which is a level above normal ear infection then sense you must have been in there a while your ear dumb may have popped!! The fact that you have a faint sound in that ear is the eveidence to that. SO don't put any liquids in it. They simple go stright to your brain. I got this before and i do no what im talking about. You of course need to see your doc and he may give you amoxcillian. That what I got

I would go to the doctor. Ignoring your infection will make it worse and it can damage your hearing. Quote:
But I can still hear those TVs when they are on mute or have no picture, so I can tell if a TV is on without looking at the screen. So I know my hearing level is that high. |

Okay, I would be the resident expert on swimmer's ear. lol Ask the ppl who know me. To be honest, better than any drops would be to used distilled white vinegar. Don't ask me how it works, but trust that some of this country's top swimmers will swear by it. That's enough of my revealing too much about my personal life for this forum. Confused? Perfect!
