The Rules

These are the rules of ADISC. They exist to make sure our community is safe and friendly.
They apply to all areas of ADISC, including profiles, live chat, blogs, etc.

Short Version (aka: the Golden Rules)

• Be honest.
• Be polite.
• Follow moderator instructions.
  

Long Version

Those Golden Rules give you a basic understanding of what we want. To be a bit more specific, this section contains guidelines on how to interpret the Golden Rules. Some rules have an extended version with examples for good and bad behavior; access it by clicking on the "show" button.

Behavior towards other members:

1. Be nice, especially towards newbies!
   
   
   

   1. Do not purposely insult, offend, ridicule or bully other members.
   2. Do not ask other members creepy questions, such as whether they will meet you in real life, what their bra size is, what clothes they are wearing in real life, etc.
   3. Do not make creepy/annoying comments about your kinks. Complaining loudly that you need a diaper change isn't going get someone to change you.
   4. Show respect towards other members, especially those from other cultures/countries than your own. Don't stereotype people based on their country of origin.
   5. Choose your words wisely, especially in threads in the Mature Topics forum, and in any thread where a member is talking about their personal problems. Silly or offensive content may easily hurt others' feelings, or cause drama.
   6. If you correct someone, do so politely, constructively, and with tact. Make it a suggestion, not an order.
   7. If you see someone violating the rules, contact the mods about it, using the report post button (http://www.adisc.org/forum/images/bu...report-40b.png). Once this is done, move on. It is not necessary to reply to them.

   
   
2. Don't lie!
   
   
   We want to get to know the real you, so please:
   

   1. Sign up with your correct age, date of birth and sex/gender.
   2. Don't post any fake stories about TB/AB/DL experiences you never had.
   3. Stick with the truth when telling us about yourself.

   
   People on this forum are good at detecting lies. If you lie, they will find out, and you will likely be banned from the site as a result. It is OK if you want to keep some things a secret. You are not required to answer the questions other members ask. If you do answer, though, be honest.
   
3. Be mature!
   
   
   

   1. When voicing criticism, or an opinion which might be interpreted as criticism, do so in a mature and helpful way. If the criticism gets interpreted as a personal attack on the other person, then you have probably made a mistake.
   2. Don't use babytalk except in PMs, the RP forums, or #adisc-rp.
   3. Don't use "txtspeak", like "i c wut u did thr".
   4. Take a light-hearted approach to messages that are obviously meant as a joke, even if you may not find it funny. Different people have different kinds of humor.
   5. No drama.

   
   

Forum Content:

1. Do not post personal ads. This includes posts looking for dates, mommies/daddies, etc.
2. Do not promote self-destructive things, like self harm or drug use.
   
   
   This includes discussing:
   

   1. Unhealthy or dangerous methods used to 'go' in diapers.
   2. Taking drugs, or self harm. If you are currently doing these things, and want to stop, consult a qualified medical professional. If you are doing them, and don't want to stop, then don't bring it up here. If you are not doing them, then don't start, because if you do, you will regret it eventually.

   
   
3. Do not promote illegal activities, like drugs, downloading copyrighted material, etc.
4. Do not post adults-only content (e.g: porn), or links to it.
   
5. Do not spam the forum with useless or silly messages.
   
   
   

   1. No derailing serious topics with random posts.
   2. No posts that consist of only meaningless pictures!
   3. Do not post links to sites that contain malicious software, or content designed to shock or anger the viewer.

   
   

Use of Images

1. No crotch shots anywhere on the site, except for the purpose of product reviews.
   
   
   Crotch shots are pictures that show exclusively, or primarily, someone's diaper. Use images that represents you as a whole person!
   
2. Do not upload pictures of anyone 15 or younger, at all, even if you have their permission.
3. Do not upload pictures of 16 or older, unless you have the permission of everyone in the picture.
   
   
   Note:
   

   1. This rule applies to ALL pictures, regardless of whether they're of your family, friends, or strangers.
   2. Similarly, it applies to ALL locations on ADISC. Even avatars, profile pictures, private albums, and password-protected galleries!

   
   
4. We reserve the right to delete images we feel are in poor taste.

The Reputation System
Members get the opportunity to rate the quality of other members' posts by giving them positive or negative reputation.
When using the reputation system, please use the following guidelines:

1. If someone makes an exceptionally good (or bad) post, you can use the reputation button (http://www.adisc.org/forum/images/bu...tation-40b.png) to rate it.
2. Do not use the reputation system for promoting personal friendships or fighting personal feuds with members. Rate people's contributions from a neutral observer's perspective!
3. All rep comments must be tactful. Rude/abrasive rep comments are not permitted.
   
4. Positive reputation may only be given for exceptional contributions to ADISC.
   
   
   Positive reputation should be given only for especially good contributions to the site, irrespective of your own personal opinion on the matter discussed and of whether or not you consider the member a friend or an enemy. Examples include posts which:
   

   1. demonstrate great kindness
   2. explain something in great detail and contain a lot of wisdom or valuable insights (even if you disagree with the points put forward)
   3. contain content that is very helpful to other members, or to people new to the site.

   
   
   Do not give positive reputation:
   
   

   1. As consolation for someone's bad luck ("sympathy rep")
   2. To cancel out a negative reputation a user has received because you think the negative reputation was not justified
   3. To friends/lovers/etc, just because of your special relationship
   4. In gratitude for a personal favor towards yourself that the site as a whole does not benefit from.
   5. For someone's birthday

   
   
5. Negative reputation may only be given for behavior which reflects badly on the poster, or ADISC as a whole.
   
   
   Negative reputation should only be a last resort, for people who have screwed up, or are deliberately breaking the rules. If neither of the above applies, you should give them gray (neutral, 0-point) rep first, and explain in your rep comment what they did wrong. If they continue doing it, you can give them negative reputation for it. On the other hand, if they are seriously breaking the rules of ADISC, you should give them negative reputation immediately, and report their post to moderators, using this icon on their post: http://www.adisc.org/forum/images/bu...report-40b.png
   
   Valid reasons to give negative reputation:
   

   1. Insulting, attacking, ridiculing other members of ADISC.
   2. Spamming the forum with messages that are against the rules.
   3. Disrupting serious discussions/threads with silly or spam messages.
   4. Posting obvious lies. Please think carefully before doing this because not everything that seems unbelievable to you must be a lie. Sometimes, things which seem completely crazy are, actually, the truth! Some people lead lives that most of us wouldn't believe...
   5. Causing drama by purposely posting offensive or controversial messages. Remember that everyone has the right to present their own opinion in a mature manner. Posting in such a mature manner is not a valid reason for neg rep, but being deliberately offensive to other people is.

   
   
   Do not give negative reputation if:
   
   

   1. You disagree with someone's opinion.
   2. You hate someone on a personal level.
   3. You did not understand someone's joke, but the joke itself is not causing any harm.

   
   
   Do not write offensive comments or insults into your rep comment! Instead, give suggestions on how the member can improve their behavior! If you curse at someone in a rep comment, or otherwise abuse the system, the rep will be reversed, and you may well be banned from using the rep system.
   
6. All rep comments must make sense when reviewed by the admins.
   
   
   Reputation comments are reviewed regularly by the admin team. Any comments which are not given for one of the above, valid reasons will be deemed invalid, and removed. Anyone who gives a substantial amount of invalid rep will likely find their reputation-giving privilieges permanently revoked. Anyone who attempts to deliberately manipulate the reputation system for their own ends will be banned.
   
7. Do not complain about negative reputation in public, even if it is invalid!
   
   
   If you have been given reputation which does not meet the above rules, report it by hitting "Settings" in the top right of any page, then the "Report" link next to the rep you think is invalid.
   The admins will investigate. If we determine that the rep is indeed invalid according to the rep rules, then we will delete it.
   

The Live Chat (IRC)

1. No automated messages (such as 'now playing' announcements), or any other type of spam.
2. Again, remember the golden rules, and especially the third golden rule: follow moderator instructions.
   

Staff Members

1. Forum staff show up in purple.
2. We are friendly, and here to help with any problems you may have!
3. We can be contacted via the Requests forum.
4. When you see people breaking the rules, alert a moderator by using the report button (http://www.adisc.org/forum/images/bu...report-40b.png).
   
   
   After alerting a moderator, move on. You need not worry about other people behaving badly. Moderators and the reputation system ensure that the offenders will get what they deserve fairly quickly.
   Please don't interfere with the moderators' job by telling people off yourself.
   
5. Follow the moderators' instructions!
6. If you have an issue with the behaviour of a moderator, contact the admin.

Legal

1. We expressly disclaim any liability or legal responsibility of any kind or manner whatsoever and howsoever, arising as a result of any third party data, information or content posted on this site by any person or other legal entity. We do not assume any responsibility pertaining to the accuracy or veracity of the third party content posted by any person or any other legal entity on this site. We also do not take any responsibility or liability for any illegal content created, hosted, or transmitted on/from this website by any person or other legal entity, in violation of any law prevailing for the time being in force.
2. By uploading their third party content to this site, users grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-revocable license to retain, display, store, transmit and otherwise use said content as we see fit. In the event of an account being terminated, banned, or deactivated (voluntarily or as the result of disciplinary action) we shall retain the above full and perpetual license on all posts and related content associated with the account.
3. Members warrant that they will not post any messages or upload any other content that is violative of appliccable laws.
4. The members of this site are not lawyers, doctors, or otherwise licensed professionals, and their opinions should not be construed as any kind of professional advice, be it medical, legal, or of any other kind.
5. The owners of this site reserve the right to remove, edit, move, and otherwise modify any content, for any reason.
6. If any provision or provisions of this agreement shall be held to be invalid, illegal, unenforceable or in conflict with the law of any jurisdiction, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby.
7. Anyone who threatens legal action against ADISC, or any staff member of ADISC, will be permanently banned, with no warning whatsoever. The fact that they made this threat may also be made public knowledge.
8. Anyone who actually sends any legal demand (or notice) to ADISC, or to any staff member of ADISC, consents to all of their communications with ADISC staff being permanently posted for public viewing on the internet, as well as copied to Chilling Effects and any other entities which the ADISC webmaster deems appropriate. Such public posting may also include, without limitation, the entirety of the paperwork they submit to ADISC, including their real-life identity and contact information, as well as that of anyone who represents them, submits it on their behalf, or is otherwise deemed to be involved in submitting it.
