In your posts, don't say:

  • "I might get negrep for this"
  • "Don't negrep me for this!",
  • "If you're offended, stop reading now"

...or otherwise express worry that you will be negrepped for what you post.

Instead:

  1. If you think your post deserves negrep, don't post it!
  2. If you think your post doesn't deserve negrep, suggesting you fear it undermines your points, and comes across as whiney. Don't do it.
  3. If you're not sure whether your post deserves negrep, ask a staff member (in requests, or via PM) before posting it. We staff do not bite.
