Hi and welcome to the group. Thanks for sharing your story. I had a similar experience as a child that has led me to an interest in diapers. I took part in diaper studies for Pampers between the ages of 3 and 10. Can you describe what types of studies you did?

I only have a couple of diaper memories. The one that sticks with me the most is taking part in a couple diaper tests when i was 3 or so.

I was never in commercials, but I did diaper testing for a major diaper manufacturer.

Mom probably got free diapers too!

The researcher would put a diaper on me and pump in a warm liquid. They would send me off to play with other kids and call me back to put more liquid in...

I've never had an unscented Pamper. The scent is the best!!!

Sometimes I really get the urge to use a small butt plug while I'm diapered. Does anyone else like to do this?

I love wearing the Pampers Baby Dry 6s. I tried the Crusisers 7's and they didn't seem to stretch or hold as much, plus they seemed like exactly the same size as the 6's.

I have the same issue. Usually, I just take a break and put my diaper back on.

I have always Used the Pampers Baby Dry 6's. I have a 32" waist and they fit with lots of stretching.

Basically, the researcher would periodically fill the diaper with a water solution and check for leakage over time.

I tested diapers also through a local research company. However, mine were checked for fit and how well they held up against leakage.

You are correct. It just seems disposables today are designed to be changed infrequently....they almost completely sag before they will ever leak.

Plus it's the cost of diapers. Why change a kid every hour when you can buy a diaper that has super crazy absorbency and change it twice a day?

It seems kids are staying in diapers later and later. I attribute this, in part, to lazy parenting. I think this is also the reason diaper makers are always striving for diaper capacity, so parents can leave the kids in the same diaper longer.
