It's also a trade-off with practicality. If you have kids and constantly having to make potty breaks or dealing with accident cleanups it might make sense to diaper them for the duration of the trip regardless. --sf

Meh, bunch of kids wear opposite sex diapers either due to preference, need (ie have an different sex twin and mom didn't want to spend 2x), or availability. I wouldn't put too much thought on what color diaper you are throwing away. --sf
