Yeah I've been getting a few issues with my Radeon 4670 lately, I'm thinking of doing a fresh install to see if that helps but I can't really be bothered.

Get a ThinkPad. I have a T60 and after 11 years it still runs great. Built incredibly well and one of the most gorgeous keyboards you'll find in a laptop. I can't speak for the newer models but if they're anything like the T6x series then I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

Wow, just found my ubuntu disc so I booted into the live CD and you're right! I've already got some good speakers with their own amplifier and a subwoofer hooked up to my PC so from now on if I want to rock out to some music I'm using ubuntu ;)

Hmm, never noticed that before. Once I upgrade my hard disk to a larger one I need to install ubuntu again and give it a go, I'm always looking to get the best sound out of my speakers ^_^
