- After reading the Wiki on choosing a name, I thought some about it. I grew up on a small island that had the french name for island, or Isle. (Actually it was a variant Ile) My memories of that time growing up are mixed good and bad, but when I recently discovered there was much pleasure in wearing diapers that put a smile on my face, I realized it must have been a happy baby as old photos attest. So the name harkens back to that time. The image of an island refers also a sense of separateness, in that being a DL does not come from my community of friends and loved ones. We are social creatures and behavior generally conforms to the tribe we belong to. For good or bad this part of community is broken.
