Can any of you remember potty training?

I forgot how big packs of nappies back then were. Nowadays even packs of size 8 Pampers are about half that size or less. It's also strange that 'baby' language is used on nappies aimed at children who are bigger than toddlers who would be upset if called a baby (back then BabySlips; now it's...

Can any of you remember potty training?

I recall seeing Peaudouce in "extra child size" in the 80s. Was this the same as child size or was this a bigger size?

    Diaper bulge.

And if someone wears a fairly thin disposable, they're less likely to have to worry about bulge anyway, as long as they wear fairly loose clothing.

    Rearz/incontrol

Are there any institutions that use InControl products? Institutions use products geared towards them, the medical diapers which have been deteriorating in quality over the past 10 years. InControl supply to incontinent adults who buy their own supplies, and to ABDLs.

    Rearz/incontrol

I was watching a video the other day by a YouTube called "Bumble Pree" who has MS and said that as her incontinence has got worse and she's got more used to it, she's been using ABDL diapers and ABDL-derived medical diapers rather than ones from medical supply companies as the latter aren't...

Where do you get your incontinence supplies?

LLMedico for plastic pants Incontinence Shop (AKA DryLife) for daytime diapers ABUniverse for night-time BetterDry diapers (since IncoShop stopped stocking Abena plastic). There was a time I went to IncoShop for all these things; then the Kins rubber pants were discontinued, and nothing they...

    Diaper Changing Service

Surely a "diaper changing service" is a personal care service, and that already exists. It's normally a disabled person who can't physically care for themselves who would need someone else to change a diaper for them, while someone with only incontinence who was otherwise capable of looking...

    Do you....

I wonder who pays for the 'research' that produces such findings; they're very convenient to the needs of the diaper and care home industries as they allow the former to sell more product and the latter to cut costs by putting residents in diapers rather than having staff to take them to the loo...

How wide in the crotch for typical L to XL disposable diapers?

Possibly the reason crotch widths aren't wider is that they have to fit women too, who don't have 'junk' to accommodate. For them a narrower but more padded crotch might be more appropriate but without making diapers for each sex, they have to accommodate both in one product. (Baby diaper...

    using plastic pants with diapers/pull-ups

My way of stopping leaks onto the bedsheets is to wear a towel over a disposable (I use a size 2 Snappi to hold it on) then plastic pants over that. (Wore rubber ones until mine wore out and the manufacturers stopped making them.) Just plastic pants over the disposable would do no good because...

    Abena Slip

Abena Slip sucks, it is their cloth finish diaper with the stupid redesign where the wrap-arounds are tabs attached to the main body of the diaper rather than the two being the same; you get much less absorbent coverage than with the previous design or the plastic backed diaper. I'd avoid.

    Messy accident on an airplane

I know someone who has a son with Down's syndrome and when travelling by plane (which they do frequently because of family overseas), he has (or had) to go without food or drink in the hours before the journey so he wouldn't have to use the toilet en route. I thought of asking why she didn't...

Do you dislike wearing a diaper, like them or are you ambivalent?

Skin sensitivity to some disposable products

I used to have itching when I used Tena pull-ups a lot. I don't think it's latex because they'd put a warning on the packet if so. I think it's just the chemicals used in its manufacture. When I used pull-ups, I used Abena. (And the problem only started when they changed the design a few years...
