I just realised it's been exactly a year since I became incontinent and went 24/7.
It's finished! I was expecting it to take me a month but it only took three days.
It's comprised of a printed cotton outer layer with two layers of fleece inside. Between the two fleece layers is a pocket that I can insert a cloth or disposable booster pad inside. I used a Tena slip as a template and it fits well but in retrospect I think I should have made the front tabs longer, and I will do that for the next one (I have enough fabric left to make at least one more).
I got up early on Sunday morning to watch the Olympic Torch relay which passed by about 2 miles from where I live. It was a bit of an anticlimax really, but I'm glad I saw it. The last time this happened, my grandparents were the age I am now, and it will never happen again in my lifetime.
A friend of mine says, about events like this, it's all about being there.
Well they did it, but they nearly managed to give me a heart attack in the process. Leaving it until the last 5 minutes of injury time to score two goals is not cool, guys.
