Tjenare! Läste någonstans att du e från Växjö. Det är jag med! Världen är allt liten...
Thanks man! The tapping is indeed very difficult. It is especially hard on medium gauge strings and a not so ideal action. I don't know the song Naissance that well, but I have learned Memories of the Future and You and I (Toi et Moi). These are reasonably easy to learn, I suggest you try one of these. ;)
But, as you know, practice makes perfect (or like Andy's song - Practice Is Perfect). It took me about 3-4 weeks to learn Ebon Coast and another couple of weeks to play it somewhat fluently. Hoping to learn Andy's Art Of Motion soon, it is so cool!
I say you keep trying. No need to be a coward. I put the stupidest things on my channel and still get OK comments on it. Just play something simple to ease into it. Good luck!
I couldn't agree more man, I have a cover up on YouTube of Ebon Coast. It isn't great, but it's there. I have learned Drifting but I have never bothered putting up a cover on YouTube. You know how it goes, recording, messing up, recording again, messing up again, frustration... etc.
    Anyhow, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9eJTa4y_LE&feature=PlayList&p=044606A64A57A28B&playnext=1&index=5
    Hope you'll like it. =D
I see Drifting as being more of a party trick and Ebon Coast more as an actual song...
Excellent! I still want to pick up classical guitar at some point! I would like to learn Mason Williams' Classical Gas. I now mostly play my favorite fingerstyle guitar music from artists like Andy McKee (you might have seen his Drifting video), Antoine Dufour and Don Ross. My other favorites include Michael Hedges (RIP guitar man) and Pierre Bensusan. But, some straight-forward chord-strumming is fine with me too, as I sometimes do some covers where I do vocals, and fingerstyle and vocals don't always mix that well!

    Rock on man!
Right! I see! I play steel-string myself, at the moment shopping for a new one that will hopefully last me a bit longer - first guitar was more to see if I really wanted to play guitar, then found my style and then found I needed a bit of a different spec'ed guitar (wider neck, smaller body, etc). What do you play currently, if I may ask (which guitar, which music, etc)?
No way! But it's still a Martin look-a-like! Is that what you play? What type is it (yeah it's a dread but what else)?
    O
    Tjena
