![]() actually, you'd be quite surprised at the companies which i refuse to trade with, on the basis of my social and political beliefs. and my contempt for McD's was helped along nicely, some years ago, by a dose of food poisoning which they provided, free of charge, and which suddenly arose (geddit?) whilst sat in a canoe, on choppy water and in the path of an armada of racing boats ![]() as for you having been an employee of McPuke's, i don't think that you'll have to suffer any derisory comments from members here; even i've worked in a pizza shop. but, i guess that all things considered, it's no surfries that you were involved in some sort of burgery ![]() just as a matter of interest, what kind of work are you doing now? My pastor announced he was supporting this bullshit a couple months ago.
Nevermind all the other things McDonalds does, like Ronald McDonald House...Childrens Hospital...all the insane good work they do through charities and stuff like that. If something like giving support to the gay rights movement is going to make you quit eating at McDonalds you've got some serious life issues to work out. My very Christian family and I went to eat out at McDonalds immediately following that sermon I mentioned. |

I think that even if it's for money/ press, having the cajones to join is still admirable. But very few people will really boycott, people love McDonalds too much. If Wal-Mart did the same thing, I doubt even the president of the AFA would stop shopping there. We are too cheap. |
