bah.. i'm not saying anything bad about ecstasy, but i've seen what it can do if you take it EVERY damn day for 3-4 1/2 months straight. it can seriously mess your thought process up. my cousin started back in January. she had no self control when taking it to begin with. shes been off it now for like, 115 days, or around that, but she's lost big blocks of time in her memory. she can't even remember her 21st birthday too well.. But FYI, she has an.... addictive personality(?). Anyways. i still stand by what i said; being that ecstasy isn't really harmful if you can manage it right... wait *looks up top* uh, turns out i didn't say that before.. o_O nvm.. well, i stand by what i just said >_>

I read about this in the paper today. At the end of the article was a quote from Gordon Brown. I can't remember exactly what he said, but it was along the lines of: We have to keep cannabis and extasy in their current classifications because we need to appear hard on drugs because that is what the people want...
Quote:
The "[insert illegal drug of choice here] has the potential to ruin your life, so let's ban it altogether" logic merely cherrypicks what is convenient. |

I don't deny alcohol abuse is bad. It destroyed my mom's life and came damned close to wrecking the lives of several other family members. The problem here is that some people have addictive personalities and some don't. My sister had a problem with meth for several years and it almost killed her. My brother apst got himself killed in a car wreck caused by pills and booze.
I'm not saying that taking any drug once will turn someone into a zombie. But drug abuse really does wreck lives. |

But moderation =/= abuse. And that's where most people don't understand the difference and make assumptions like if it has potential to be bad, then it must be universally bad for everyone. |

As this is a mature topics forum, I think it's fine to say that if I'd ever do any drugs, Ecstasy would be my choice. It's just who I am. I like the idea of "uppers" rather than "downers".
I think the most important thing you need to do when on it is just remember to eat and drink, and keep it in moderation. I saw someone coming off of it who took too much; he was laying down in another guy's lap, groaning for water. Someone took a picture with flash and he started twitching. Safe to say that turned me off the idea. But really, drug use is over-dramatized. If they want to do it, let them. Why should we let some anonymous faces in three-piece suits tell everyone else how to live their life? |

A drug that makes people love each other? I never read about that in the bible. I'll stick to my painful brown water that makes me punch minorities, the way the good lord intended. I mean, a metaphysical experience? Transcending thought? Swallowing the colors of the sounds I hear? Who needs that when you could Buy a pack of cigarettes for ten bucks to feel the sweet high of not having a headache.

E is bad. mmmkay Trust me It can be bad. And addictive just like any drug.
What are your views on E?It's bad....BUT SO FUN! *How safe do you believe E is? Moderated Safe But using for fun is bad Kay *Have you ever had a bad experience with the drug (maybe not you personally)? Nothing worse then some of the stuff my friends take. *Do you believe that society misjudges E, and why?No, Because It's an addictive substance. |
