messy diapers = uti?

I would think that it would be very hard to get UTIs from dirty diapers, especially in males. The male urinary tract (or any, really) isn't really built in a way that lets the non-sterile urine get back into it. I also don't see it happening much more with females (as it'd be hard for the urine to flow back up the sphincters in anyone, for one... they're designed to make it all go the other way about, see?)
That's not to say that staying in dirty diapers won't give you a potentially large amount of problems.

after reading some of the replies after mine, then reading mine again I wanted to make sure I didn't mis lead..

when I said "you have a higher chance of getting UTI's wearing especially if there is waste then mixed with 'flooding' that over saturates the diaper area" that was only to say that it 'can' have a higher chance but it being common for that reason (to specifically answer the OP) No, not really. If you are getting them regularly then I'd suggest looking at other areas. Mine comes mostly from other internal problems. If you research the frequency of UTI's then you might come across a site I saw a while back that showed what the percentages are of males that get UTI's for various circumstances and also compared to women. If I remember right men over 65yo jumps up a LOT higher than younger ones. But that's also from mostly other internal problems like prostate issues.
