To counterpoint this, I think this chase of justifications and rationalizations is a fruitless and endless cycle. It becomes just an abstract intellectual pursuit. The bottom line is that bedwetting exists, so deal with it.
You don't need to think about it very much, because there's nothing much to think about. Bedwetting is not a moral or ethical discussion, and it is not a complex scientific problem. It simply is something that happens, so it shouldn't be worried about or given too much thought. Just deal with the direct "night to night" reality, and go about your day as always. I will admit it take some self-confidence to simply say, "I don't need to think about it. It doesn't matter." However, in the end that is the solution. This is a problem that requires action (e.g. wearing diapers) to deal with it, but not that much reasoning. There are many problems in life that are similar. Some things require deep thought, others require dedicated action, and most require a blend. It is a certain skill to know how much of each is necessary, though great precision is rarely required. Full disclosure: I only came to this conclusion after years of reasoning. |

Ya gotta love marketing people. They can make just about anything sound like a good idea, at least until you think it through. Some examples:
1. Goodnites 2. Colon cleansing 3. Spraying toxic chemicals all over your house and yard. 4. Time shares 5. Work at home schemes 6. Hybrid cars 7. Barack Obama I could go on forever. |

I was thinking the same thing, but really, out of all the things you could do to help someone with bedwetting, buying nighttime protection is the best step you can take. It beats waking the person up at 2:AM to use the bathroom, the wetness alarms, medications, etc....Protection is the best thing you can do for a bedwetter. I'm not saying that GoodNites offers the best protection, but for a young kid I guess it wouldn't be that bad of a solution.
