Can someone please explain these 'problems' with the forum to me? I don't see any problems. All I see is elitism. We're getting too large? Well, duh.
Why should we turn away members? It was a community? We don't you ask MarkFox & Peachy how they felt when dodgy unknown characters started to sign up on their forum, us.

If this is to continue it won't be the newbies that eventually tear me away from the community, it'll be the people that are already here.

I agree with pretty much everything you said Monkey. In my earlier post I agreed to the community getting larger and more shady people than usual, but I think ADISC has accomplished a lot. I mean we have only been back up for not even 3 damn months for godsake. We already bounced back like some armry of ants lol. We should be very proud of that!
Yes ill admit there are some shady people here, but who cares really? There is rep, ignore features, and reqeust forums to battle all that. Theres no excuse for that to be a reason to leave.
It seems to me Drew, that it is not entirely the shady people bothering you, but the fact that some original TBDL members have not stuck around, and that all the newbies are diluting the original members. Therefore it is upseting you because you want the site to be where everyone knows eachother and loves eachother like one happy small town community....well sorry to break it to you, but I do not beleive it will ever go back to that. Which is good I think because the more members we have, the more voice of opinion we have, therefore giving us more power; therefore giving us a fighting chance to be more accepted in society by gathering in a larger number.

Anyways I hope you stick around your too good of a member to loose, even if it is just the forums your leaving. Just give it some thought before you go.

I would have to say give it time. I'm really sorry to see you leave, even if it's just the forums. I know there are some pretty dumb threads, but you don't have to bother with them if you don't want...hell, ignore them even. With the part about being a family, if every member of the family left when things got rough, it would surely fall apart

Seriously, though, at the very beginning, about 2/3 of the memberbase had met IRL and this board was merely a virtual place to talk while we couldn't get together physically. Obviously, that has changed drastically, especially after the forum stopped to be mostly for UK/central Europe people.

Drew, Good luck, and Hope you return at some point. But you know, I don't think theres many wrong things with Adisc currently. Agreed, maybe theres a bunch of new, 'creepy'' people that have signed up, but time will drive them off anyways. They're will be always obscure people called iluvdiapers68 asking how to crap themselves in the diaper talk. Also, lets not forget, SOMETIMES, those questions are sincere (God bless, we now have a wiki and a 'The moar you know' banner above us, so we have less of them). And, without wanting to sound rude, if you don't want to see those kinda posts (as said above), you can still hang around the off topic/mature topic threads Personally, it's those two parts of the forum I usually frequent. I'm here for the people, not to get advice on how to buy diapers. I think I know how to.
However, since I see objection here :

Poster : It's a SUPPORT community you twit! Most people come here for SUPPORT!

Dusk : Agreed. Support does not only mean 'Omg Hao do I tall my prnts?'. It includes 'I feel guilty, should I?'. Moral and Ethical questions. Social problems, maybe or maybe not linked with infantilism! Besides, when your questions are over, you know that there are people willing to support you, you've affirmed your not alone, if this was only a support community, you wouldn't be here anymore! 90% of our members would not be on this forum now, if all this community did was answer questions.

So, overall Drew, it's your choice if you leave, and if you do, Best of luck mate. But I suggest you stay for the friends you have here, the help you provide to new people, and overall, the ride. Let's see where this goes, no?

Drew, I wish you would stay, running away from the problem won't help anything. Yes, we get a lot of shifty members, but how many good ones have we gained from it? Not everyone who signs ups here is the obsessed type, or is into Deeker type stuff, there are a lot of good people who have signed up here. The fact is, we cant go back to the good old days. The TBDL site is dead, end of story. We must start from new, and build the community beter than before.

As far as we're losing the family feel- I gotta disagree. I have noticed nothing of the sort. While we may not have as many members as before, or as many people online at a given time, the advice that is given from our members is as good as ever, and is honest and genuine. With a bit more time, we will see the same supply of new threads, and posts as the last site. But don't expect a miracle, it took that site what.. 3 years to get where it was? Your expecting a bit much to be honest.. You running away from the forums, will do nothing to improve whatever problems you have the site. If you want to improve, make a suggestion. If you don't like shifty people, don't read their posts. Report them if they get out of line, and award them neg rep. The Mods will take it up from there. That's what they do.

I bid you farwell, but I don't understand your decision at all. I have always liked you, Drew, and I'll miss your posts.

but in seriousness YES while i have noticed that there seem to be a decent few people who seem more at home in DPF and the like than here.. but they are outnumbered by the good people like kraiden and Co. i.e the older members plus the newer people too.

Heh, well, congrats on the fact that you decided to stay Drew, but I must agree with Drew from his first post, I have a feeling that there are more shifty people signing up here, and a few names I know I have a feeling from the old site that were banned that I now see back on here that are not banned, but I can't seal the deal on them by proving it's them from the old site, which really annoys me, lol. But ya, I thought it was just me that noticed this little trend of people signing up.

Anyways, before I turn this into a looooooooooooooooong rant. *ends rant here*
