So who would you like to compliment randomly?? I know! Why not say the compliment but not say who it is about? Then you can respect your shyness and people can wonder if you mean them! Like "You made such a great reply to newby67 [who would have at least half a dozen replies from different people in their thread] - witty and funny! Or "Wow great mod action! You are fast!" or "What a great way to improve the site with your grammar advice!" or some such.
