Semper Fi (Poem)

Well, figured I should start posting these again. mind you, these poems don't necessarily explain my personal opinions on things...I just write from the heart.

Preach what you will,
We all have our vows.
But those who make them,
Tend the break them.

Why do we break them,
When we are men of our word?
We’ll never answer,
For it would shame us all.

We have no clue of the danger,
Our defiance can cause.
We can end relations,
And harm lives.

And yet…We can help too.
We can brighten a day,
Or break the storms.
As long as we don’t look away.

In time, we destroy ourselves,
Or we make known our greeds.
But there are those, who remain loyal.
Those people would preach two words.

Good poem. I expect more of these here since it is a way of expressing ones self speaking of that i wonder if finished stories would be a good place for the songs i like to express myself.

Unless you were a Marine the above won't make much sense. But then I have a feeling you might be.

XD I write things as soon as they come into my head. I don't look at what I'm writing until the end. *shrugs*

err..if that's directed at me...um, no I'm not a Marine XD, I'm 16 and happily in school. I think.
