picture story, Time for Bed, for Liz

This is a very short story I wrote to go along with the picture Liz took for me to show off her new footed pajamas. I told her it should have a story behind it, so I wrote one. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Time for Bed

“It’s time for bed, Liz”, Brian said coming in to Liz who was still watching TV.

“Agh, do I have to” Liz questioned knowing the answer.

It was ten o’ clock and that was the usual bed time for Liz and Brian since both of them had to get up for school. Brian got Liz up and carried her to her room. He laid her down changing her into a fresh diaper and putting on her new footed pajamas. She was so proud to wear these pajamas, and she felt like such a big kid since she got to pick them out in the girls department at Target. These particular pajamas was her favorite color, Blue, with monkeys on them.

After he picked her up and put her in her crib, he read her a story while she drank a bottle of chocolate milk. He finished up the chapter of Sakura Comes to Visit and started to walk out. He already knew what he was forgetting and before he could turn around.

“Brian, you forgot to give me a kiss”, Liz said in a childish voice.

“Oh yeah, I almost didn’t remember”, Brian said trying to hide the smile on his face. He quickly went up to the crib peering over the tall gate. He put Liz’s pacifier in her mouth and admired her for a second, taking in all of her cuteness (and thinking about how much he loved her) and finally gave her a kiss on the forehead.

“Good night, I love you”, Brian said as he walked out.

“I love you too, Brian” Liz replied.

Both of them looked at each other for the longest time admiring each other’s looks. Brian finally turned off the light and walked out, still with a smile on his face.

Actually I liked what I read. I do wish you would make a story out of the paragraph you have.

I did remember that story. I had thought I replied when I had read it but am not sure where it went.

I thought it went very well with the picture. It was a bit on the short side, but then again, we were already told about it...and there's nothing wrong with stories that aren't novels anyways.
