Oh, Mandi, I'm really sorry to hear that. Great that he's getting better though.

The halfheartedness really did come through in the story and it seemed really genuine, which is hard at the best of times. I hope you did feel better through writing it and you can at least be sure that a lot of us appreciated it.

Absolutely beautiful. My grandfather just had a mini-stroke and it kind of shocked me into reality that even my 'invincible Papa' won't be around forever... your story just really hit me. I'm glad your grandfather is getting better.

so.. t-this sort of thing.. it happened to you.. Oh, im so sorry mandi for what happened. it makes me go into a 'twilight phase' to thnk how thats really your experences behind that even more than usual... and what you must be going through

This is about half and half on the truth scale. All flashbacks, that's true. Finding out about them from my grampa, that's true. Him being in the hospital, that's true. The way in which he tells the story, the time he tells it, and when/why he is in the hospital is partly fiction. This story was just a creative way to get out my feelings.

I'm alright though, he will be fine, I'm going to go visit him today, he's finally on a different floor, so visitors allowed.

Aww so good Mandi! *sits here in tears* And I'm sorry about your Grandpa I know how hard that is to well since My Grandpa had a stroke 5 years ago and since I lost my Grandmother back in June. Its hard going through both of them...
