A poem by Redtails
Some time ago, I wrote a little poem for my loved one. It tells a story about a gift that I gave her - a ring worthy to be worn on her delicate fingers. I consider the poem as done, as a certain amount of time has already passed since I stopped working on it. I'd like to share the poem with you, but please do not copy it like you've written it.
Quote:
As the seraphim protect god, you protect my soul
But what exactly is your goal?
Is it, to find eternal gratulation
Or, do you seek a mortal for opitulation?
As an individual, I can offer a lot
Whether it needs said, stolen, or bought
Please, do not underestimate me
I can offer you anything, even a plea
It is true money does not buy happy feelings
By all means, it can even get you into nasty dealings
You must be thinking: then why the gift?
Do not worry, do not let your mind go adrift
For money does not exist, we should not insist
Life has more to offer, though
Just like a plant does more than grow
Live your life, let it flourish
Breath, move, play, and nourish
May you desire, you can spend all your life with me
You would have to endure four kids, a pet, and a tree
In the end, will it be really worth it?
Will your love not hesitate a tiny bit?
My love for you is true, and legitimate
You will never make my heart split
Let me get this straight,
Please, Eleanor, be my soulmate
For now and forever
No matter what will happen, whatsoever
Let us set about this daring endeavour
For now, and forever
We should promise to get married
Wherever, whenever
Until the day we are buried
Whenever, wherever
I betroth you to me in everlasting faithfulness
Let our love always be soulfulness
Accept me in your heart
Let us never again part.
