Default Whiskey the Cat (A Short, Somewhat Sad, Non-ABDL story by Kovy)

My name is Cowboy, and I'm a cat. Not a lion or tiger or something like that, but a house cat, not unlike those you see around your neighborhood. I'm golden with dark stripes, muscular, and a good friend to nice humans.

But I'm also a victim of a broken heart. Come with me and I'll tell you my story.

Two weeks ago, I was prowling through neighboring cats' territory, going through backyards and gardens. I was strolling in a lawn, when I noticed a cat that I'd never seen before. Of course, I was greeted by a long, angry "MEEEOOOWWW!", but instead of turning away and running or returning the threat, I simply sat and looked at her. And she was beautiful. I think she was an American Shorthair cat, and she had the most wonderful silky fur, grey with black spots, a raccoon-striped tail, and stomach fur as white as snow. She had a purple, heart-shaped collar tag which read "I'm Whiskey, And I'm Loved" with her humans' phone number underneath. Her yellow-green eyes sparkled like the diamonds which adorned her black leather collar. I was snapped out of my trance as she bounded toward me, and landed on me. She was young, and I was not hurt, but we tumbled over a few times, and she landed on top. And looked into my eyes... We knew we were right for each other then. Without even saying anything, she laughed, and together we walked, and told each other the stories of her lives.

Her humans were from Toronto, and seemed to have money as they bought her the best cat structures and toys around, as well as her beautiful collar. She was adopted by them from one of their friends, and she hadn't seen her mother since. She had never known love until this point, and wanted to have kittens someday. My story was boring enough, I had lived here in the suburbs for my whole life with my humans. We resolved to go on a date sometime soon.

The next night, we went out to dinner behind Red Lobster, where food that was left uneaten by humans was put in the Dumpster out back. We jumped in and feasted on the most delicious salmon, king crab tails, and of course, lobster. We talked through most of the meal, but after we were done I just stared into hear glistening eyes, and she stared into mine. We had to go to our houses, as we didn't want to worry our humans. But we decided something that day... We were right for each other. We would have kittens together. She wanted a family, and she was the most beautiful cat I'd ever seen. After all, how could I deny her? ...Or myself?

We met under her porch the next morning, and we were about to get stared when we heard her humans calling her. They sounded upset, so Whiskey decided that she would go to them and be back later. I waited under the porch, and although I couldn't see, I heard all I needed to. "MeeOWWW!" "Good girl." Then, I saw it... Her human walked down their sidewalk, with Whiskey in a carrier. I never saw her again... until 5 days later.

I saw her lying outside in the yard, on a summer afternoon. I approached her, and said hello. Instead of heading to the porch with me, she just stared blankly. I asked what was wrong, and she simply said that she had has some sort of operation, and although she was sorry, she didn't have any feelings for me anymore. I didn't understand at first, but then it hit me... she had been spayed.

And now, I walk with you, dear reader, with one eye open for other cats. However, I have a hole in my heart that cannot be filled by any other cat. That space... is hers alone.

Nicely written story. I liked it.

But, you do understand that spaying doesn't change feelings right? Human women don't suddenly lose their feelings if they get a hysterectomy.

Well, yeah, but again, I wasn't really thinking too much about the scientific aspect about it. It wouldn't have been as dramatic if that had been a part of it. (Or maybe it would. But anyway... I'm glad you liked it overall.)

That was really cool how it was out of the cat's perspective. Nice story : )

It's very good, fairly short but a good read. Definitly has some emotion within it, I almost forget its a cat. You are good with words and your story was well written.
