Whenever I click an image thumbnail (such as one in this thread (https://www.adisc.org/forum/fun-games/15406-random-image-thread.html)) all I get is...

Whenever I click an image thumbnail (such as one in this thread) all I get is the Lightbox background appear, with no image ever showing.

Firebug says:

Code:

imagelink is not defined
https://www.adisc.org/forum/clientscript/vbulletin_lightbox.js?v=384 - Line 11

Which seems like a perfectly reasonable error, given that the "imagelink" variable is only ever read - never written - in that file. I've been working on Web stuff all day, though, so I'm not really in any mood to dig deeper into completely foreign code right now :-P

I was quite reluctant to post this, because surely someone else would have noticed it by now? Unless it's because I'm still a Newbie, I don't see how it could be affecting me but no one else.

And the same problem happens in IE8 as well (as well as Firefox 3.5, that is), by the way.

A new forum for non-ADISC *BDL culture?

Hi guys. After being on this site for a little while now, I've started to notice that we often discuss topics related to the *BDL community that don't necessarily pertain to this group. I think it might be wise to create a new forum or sub-forum to place these posts. The posts seem to be taking on at least two forms that I've noticed:

1. Mentions to *BDL in popular culture. I know, I know, there is already a sticky for this. However, wouldn't it be easier to discuss outside references to *BDLism from popular culture on a sighting-by-sighting basis? That way, each 'sighting' can have its own thread, making it easier to discuss each in more detail. It would also be better organized and easier to search than searching through the hundreds of posts that have been made to the 'popular culture' sticky.

2. Discussions about other websites and forums that pertain to *BDLism that aren't ADISC. This would provide a place to discuss things such as DPF, ABY, DiaperSpace, (dare I add D**ker?) and all the many other sites that are out there nowadays.

I've noticed that people have a tough time determining exactly where to place all of these threads. Are they Diaper Talk, Adult Baby, Teen Baby, Mature, Off-Topic? Which?

Well, creating a forum such as "ABDL culture" might just help to provide people with a place to post such threads. My proposed forum provides a place to discuss other *BDL sites and references to *BDL culture in the mainstream media. It could be its own forum, or it could be a subtopic of... say... diaper talk(?).

So what do you guys think? Is this a good idea?

Bravo!! Now on the main page - which lists the forums and where one can click to go to a particular forum, usernames (for the most recent respondant in a thread) has their username in its proper colour.

Bravo to Moo!

A small modification but to my mind a very welcome one.

eg

New Privacy Policy
by Moo

Now I would like to add a small suggestion that's been in the back of my mind a while...

Quote:

 TeenBaby (8 Viewing)
This the forum for everything related to the Teen Baby lifestyle. This means discussions about coping with parents, getting diapers for the first time, school, etc.

Question Diaper Tapes!
by Me :p
11 Minutes Ago Go to last post

This is a copy/paste off the main page;

As well as the username (in color no less :D) of the person who made the most recent reply, could we also have the username of the OP, maybe above it?

Quote:

 Question Diaper Tapes!
OP = Iwuvteddy
Last Reply by = Me :p
11 Minutes Ago Go to last post

This would be beneficial for all threads; but would make the biggest difference in intro threads, where thread titles tend to be generic "Hi there! or "New Fur" or "Greetings" and the like - sometimes even duplicates. This would make zooming onto the threads one wants to watch easier.

Actually, it would come in handy too for story threads, so we could see who the author was, not just the latest commentator.

As an aside, it would be a nice security feature, as one - anyone - could tell at a glance - if some miscreant was spamming new threads as an act of vandalism ; of course it would also show up anyone making tons of good threads, with their name up in lights.

It would also show at a glance when someone went up in rank; useful for newbie -> reg, but very useful for reg/vip -> staff. The new position as staffie (or demotion) would effectively announce itself, if this person was an OP of a given thread.

Hello, hello, goodbye and hello again!

Now I've been pondering this for a few months. What I've been pondering is ADISC's own IRC server. Not just some not-so-little channel on a totally random network.

There are a few I think this will work.

1. Our chat room is way too fast, you can hardly keep up with what's going on.

2. With our own IRC server, we can have a main "hangout" channel plus all the little interest ones, like babyfurs, music, whatever you feel like having.

3. Although it hasn't really been a problem before, I feel that with our own IRC network we could have more privacy and not interfere with others who might not appreciate what we do, since Blitzed is a rather "public" network.

So, what do you guys think? Do you think it's a good idea or not?

Anyway,
How about a facebook page for ADISC? one of the admins could set it up, or a user, and select the option for it to be a secret group so that it doesnt show up on members profiles, if they're keeping their *B/DL ness a secret.
What do you think?

So I looked in one of my groups "Gamers" to see where it was. It was in the right place there. So I checked the setting that controls this. And what do I find?

The "Only owner can create discussions" box. Ticked. I've never ticked this, and other people have created discussions in that group. A quick check reveals all my other groups, except the alternate devices crowd, have had this box checked. It defintely wasn't me who ticked it.

Did anything bulk trigger this box to be checked? I've looked in other groups and a lot of them have this setting on. (Obviously I can't tell if it's intentional or not with other people's groups.

EDIT: Groups formerly set to anyone can post (and therefore possible affected (some of these are probably intentional)) from a quick check through my groups.

This is a repost of what I wrote in the Diaper Reviews wikitalk, but I don't think it was ever seen:

I think that the diaper review section really should be improved, and could be an invaluable part of the site. There are hundreds of threads all asking 'will baby diaper x fit me'. If more people knew about the review section, and there were numerous reviews for many brands, the diaper review section could become much more useful, and keep random one question threads down.

Just a quick look on the internet has led me to this php based reviews cms: Software Content Management
