"Friends" Or the people who pretend they are.

I've been going through a sort of fight with someone who I thought was my friend. We met on Skype last year and used to talk quite often. About 2 weeks a go now they messaged me on Skype saying hey. I didn't receive the message until the next day, only to find that they removed me as a contact. Over not saying hi. Then I find out that several of my close friends were also deleted from his contacts. As time went on these past few weeks I learned that:
One of my friends had talked about dating this person, but seeing as they live in the UK and not the US it wouldn't work. As time went on I noticed that this person would do things that struck me as... I'm not sure creepy? Like wanting their to be children in an Erotic Role Play (This immediately made me say "What the fuck that is not okay"). They constantly obsessed over a pony named Midnight Blossom and at one point they tried to tell me they 'Owned' this pony. To those who don't know, Midnight Blossom, is the Oirginal Character of an artist known as Equestrian-Prevails (May have spelled that wrong). Anyways as time went on he talked about buying the rights to her, which he did attempt to do. He was met with a very reasonable "No. Midnight Blossom is my creative property, therefore I will not allow you to 'purchase' her from me."
After that incident he began to become almost... Delusional? Many of his Skype personal message updates were along the lines of "Cuddling with my Midnight, her soft and sexy hooves will keep my dreams warm and pleasant."
I'm not really looking for sympathy or anything like that, I'm just so... Confused. I really genuinely thought this person was my friend and it sort of saddens me that I feel like I was used. I really feel like this person just used me for whatever purpose then hung me out to dry. And that saddens me greatly.
