Narcissism vs. Confidence

Rate this Entry
People tend to confuse narcissism with confidence, but there's a distinct difference. Narcissism is actually a deep-down form of insecurity, because the person feels they need to boost their image in front of others to be accepted - commonly through bragging or "showing off". But a person with true confidence doesn't feel they need to prove themselves in front of anyone. Often the most confident people are modest and humble, because they let their actions speak for themselves.
