Mommy sang to me.

When I was little I always took baths in the tub with my Mom and to be honest I did this way longer than a normal kid should have. This is possibly somewhat due to the fact that my mother cannot walk so she always took baths and it was the way she was able to bathe me.

We were in the tub and I asked my mom, "What is the oldest song you can remember? Like, that you had on a record thingie?"
She sang:

Oh we ain't got a barrel of money,
Maybe we're ragged and funny,
But we're traveling along....
Singing a song.
Side by side.

Through all kinds of weather,
What if the sky should fall?
Just as long, as we're together,
It really doesn't matter at all!

Oh we ain't got a barrel of money,
Maybe we're ragged and funny,
But we're traveling along....

(Big finish)
Singing a song!!!!!
Siiiiiiiiiiiide byyyyyyyyyyyyyy siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide!

We sang it together then and I will always remember it.
