Poem: Chemical Confusion (Mental Evolution)

It disappeared far from this place,
carrying the whole world's disgrace.
It floated rather far from this sphere,
and landed very far from here.
It tried to shine with all its might,
but it could not shine on this dark night.
So, off it went to twist and bend,
to morph and transform at no end.
It burst open, leaking blood and gore,
little bugs and creatures-- Even more!
Sometime after this took place,
from the blob, came out a little face.
It drained the world of its care,
injecting hearts with chemical despair.
Most had dropped to their knees and cried.
Some of them even attempted suicide!
It called screams into the night,
and unleashed demons into the light.
Until one day, paper wiped it clear,
stripping everyone of their fear.
The screams, they no longer called out,
the voices and demons never did shout.
It was not until late one night,
that everyone noticed something wasn't right.
They ripped up the paper until it was no more,
and thought of what took place before.
It return, filling the people with neutral joy.
Once again, they're Unknown Population's toy.
It clearly was someone's mind game,
which made someone deem them insane.
Now they see what's right and wrong,
where to go, and to whom they belong.
It's all thanks to this gray void,
that they're a dull version of overjoyed.
'Til once again, the paper mends,
and then we lose our little friends.
And all our memories start to drain...
But what does it matter if we're all insane?
