Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and being an "Adult Baby"...#159

Rate this Entry
It has been quite hot and uncomfortable this afternoon
and into the evening.
I will admit to not feeling the best, due to my not being
as tolerant of hot weather as I used to be when I was
younger.
I did spend most of my afternoon lying down quietly in
my bed.
I did take a nap with my soft dolly friend, "Pam".
I did wake up in the late afternoon feeling overheated,
despite wearing nothing but an incontinence diaper.
There are of course issues with autonomic temperature
regulation in us individuals with Cerebral Palsy.
This is related to damage in the central core regions of
the brain, where autonomic bodily function regulation
is controlled.
My brain damage may be on the mild end of the Cerebral
Palsy Spectrum, but I am still experiencing this problem
of autonomic control over my body temperature.
Yes! I am sweating profusely, and I am feeling physically
weaker than I usually do, considering my Spastic Diplegia
Type Cerebral Palsy, which only affects my legs.
