Learning to wet while laying down is essencial to wetting the bed in your sleep.

At first I found it difficult. I needed to raise myself on my elbos to pee. Then It became easyer and I can now do it laying down, in any position. It's a trainning and it take time. Then, if you want to do it in your sleep, you have to trust your diaper and set a few conditions right.

Make sure you go to bed without feeling the need to pee.
Drink about 2 good glasses of water right before going to bed.
You should be able to fall asleep fast enough without being aroused by your diaper.
If you are relax enough, you will at first wake up just enough to feel the need to pee and release.
The process take time, but eventually, it will do it by itself during your sleep.

It's been at least 2 good years since I sleep in diapers and I often wet in my sleep now. If I don't wear at night, I wake up on the verge of wetting my bed.

I know that as I discovered my own interest in diapers, one of my biggest fantasies was to become a "bed wetter" but I didn't want to do anything that would require me to sleep in diapers every night. So, I decided I would try to train my brain that it was okay to wet while asleep only when wearing a diaper. So that is what I did, and it worked. My first step was to get to the point that I could sleep comfortably in a diaper. I wasn't wetting them until I woke up in the morning. I also began practicing trying to consciously relax my bladder and abdomen. One good way to practice this, is to try to void your bladder as soon and as often as possible. After a couple of months, I was comfortable wetting a diaper and could easily do so while lying down. After this, it took about five months of consistently sleeping in a diaper 3-4 nights a week. Usually I would wake up briefly in the middle of the night, wet, and go back to sleep. I had to find the balance between drinking enough water that I would need to wet, and drinking so much that I would flood the diaper and have a wet bed. Another important step was finding diapers that wouldn't leak easily. I started off Using Depends Max protection, but they leaked on me too often. Eventually I got some Tranquility ATN which work much better for me, and allow me to sleep soundly without worrying about leaking. I also use bed mats for extra protection in case of leaks. Anyway, through trial and error, I found what works for me, and after a few months of doing this, there was one night, when I fell asleep in a dry diaper, never woke up during the night, and woke up to a very wet diaper in the morning. I was ecstatic, it was a dream come true. Now almost every time I sleep in a diaper I will wet in unconsciously. There were two times early on, that I wet the bed while I wasn't diapered, but I think my brain was still figuring things out, and that hasn't happened since. Now, I usually sleep in diapers while at home, but I travel all the time for work, so I also have weeks at a time, when I don't wear diapers at all. Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to share how I have found balance in this way, and I hope some of this information is useful. Feel free to ask any questions.
Interesting, after much experimentation with and without alcohol I also use diapers and extra fluid before bed to trigger sleep wetting. However, I cannot turn it on/off at will. After not wearing/wetting for an extended period, it takes me a few nights to reestablish regular sleep wetting. And conversely, after wearing/wetting for several weeks the first few nights without are iffy. Is it the same for you?

I don't use any special technique. I can pee in any position I'm lying in. What ever time I wakeup I'm already wet.
When I do getup I'll finish flooding my diaper.

Do it for a few months, expect your level of waking will gradually decline till ….

After not sleeping diapered for a while, it does take me a night or two to get back in the swing of things. However when I jump back to sleeping undiapered, I have never wet or come close to wetting the bed, other than two occasions in the same week early on when I first started doing this. On both occasions I was dreaming about peeing. I am careful not to go to bed with a full bladder though I think I also don't relax as deeply as I do when diapered. I still sleep really well, but I think I get to an even deeper level of relaxation when I am diapered. Because of how much I travel, I get lots of practice transitioning back and forth. Right now I'm diapered for the first time in 2 weeks, and I'm really happy! I plan on being diapered every night this week. I have to say though, I think the most I've ever done of being diapered every night is around ten days. For me, its usually more like 3-4 nights and maybe once throughout the day, in any given week.

I found drinking any amount of any liquids will make me wet. I know caffeinated soda makes me release a lot in my diaper. Try drinking soda!
