So, I decided I would try to train my brain that it was okay to wet while asleep only when wearing a diaper. So that is what I did, and it worked. My first step was to get to the point that I could sleep comfortably in a diaper. I wasn't wetting them until I woke up in the morning. I also began practicing trying to consciously relax my bladder and abdomen. One good way to practice this, is to try to void your bladder as soon and as often as possible. After a couple of months, I was comfortable wetting a diaper and could easily do so while lying down. After this, it took about five months of consistently sleeping in a diaper 3-4 nights a week. Usually I would wake up briefly in the middle of the night, wet, and go back to sleep. I had to find the balance between drinking enough water that I would need to wet, and drinking so much that I would flood the diaper and have a wet bed. Another important step was finding diapers that wouldn't leak easily. I started off Using Depends Max protection, but they leaked on me too often. Eventually I got some Tranquility ATN which work much better for me, and allow me to sleep soundly without worrying about leaking. I also use bed mats for extra protection in case of leaks. Anyway, through trial and error, I found what works for me, and after a few months of doing this, there was one night, when I fell asleep in a dry diaper, never woke up during the night, and woke up to a very wet diaper in the morning. I was ecstatic, it was a dream come true. Now almost every time I sleep in a diaper I will wet in unconsciously. There were two times early on, that I wet the bed while I wasn't diapered, but I think my brain was still figuring things out, and that hasn't happened since. Now, I usually sleep in diapers while at home, but I travel all the time for work, so I also have weeks at a time, when I don't wear diapers at all. Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to share how I have found balance in this way, and I hope some of this information is useful. Feel free to ask any questions.
