Ordering at an apartment? - Page 3

I live in an apartment too and my packages just get left on my doorstep. The only time when it'll go back to the post office/UPS/FedEx is if the sender has requested that it not be left if you aren't home. Which a company shipping adult diapers most likely wouldn't do. Some large apartments also have arrangements where the package is instead left at their main office (with a note on the person's door) if nobody is home.

I've ordered diapers off the internet several times and they just came in a plain brown box. Sometimes it will have the company's name printed on the return address, but unless your neighbors really scrutinize the package, they won't notice.

How can you make sure a package arrives on a certain day b/c my mom only works two days a week.

Honestly, if you are having to dodge parents... you are better off sticking to store brands until you are out on your own and can order online... or have the package delivered to a place like the UPS store and pick it up there... if you can drive.

There is a UPS store within walking distance, so I can get a box there I guess, but I was just wondering if there was a way where you could have it delivered on a certain day. Thanks for the help.

You could try this:

Have one of your friends receive it for you, and say that it's a birthday present for your mom/dad/sibling and that you can't have it delivered to your house. Then have them call you when it arrives to come pick it up. It should work, especially if your friend's parents don't know yours personally.

Most of my friends parents are gossip type people and I know they will tell my parents. So unfortunenately that won't work. I guess I will just have to rent a box as long as it is somewhat cheap.

If you mean a UPS box, then I believe you have to be 18, and it's like $30 a month or something like that...I have a thread about it somewhere, but I don't feel like looking for it

Well, how it is at the apartments me and Rainbow live at, we have mailboxes in 2 areas of our complex. like the big metal cube with all of this boxes you need a key to open. And off to the side of those are two BIG boxes with keys hanging out, that the postman uses for big packages that wont fit in your mailbox. if theres a package for your address, they put it in the big box, take the key and slip it in your regular mailbox. So when you open your box, you get the key, open the bigger one, get your package, and leave the key in the lock so they can do it again later =P.

Thats how I got my PJs
