Guys, please remember he is a Brit. It is very difficult to get adult ones over here, and those are pretty much always pull up style, and to be honest they all suck. He saw an opportunity and he took it. He didn't exactly have much time to plan it out. Most people can get over the fear of it if they time to think it through - he didn't. It was an impulse!

Yes, we don't necessarily get baby diapers because they look cute in all. Given the option. I would pick something that will fit me. Bah, I had to live off Tesco Value stuff when i was younger. I didn't have much money I could spend without raising any questions or anything.

I am surprised how even the cheap nasty adult diapers are still very easy to get hold of in the USA.

The problem is, it's mostly the cheap, nasty adult diapers that are readily available. The nice ones are much less easily obtained. Still, we must count our blessings that we have any available at all.

Because, as has already been said by me and others, in the UK they are incredibly difficult to find. One shop sells them. If one of those isn't near - no chance. Even then, the ones they sell are rubbish. They sell one tape up one - which is one size fits all (52" waist). If he can fit in baby diapers, even tightly, he shouldn't bother with those. They WILL NOT be tight enough. The others are adult pull ups. From my experience, these also suck. Just because it is possible for you to get adult diapers in the shops, it doesn't mean he can.

Hmmm...apologies for starting a debate. I didnt get adult diapers becuase I was quite close to home, and basically was too paranoid about it, but I think that's fair enough, considering it was my first time buying diapers. And yes, adult diapers are hard to get hold of in the UK, I doubt they would have had them in any shop where I was near....next time though...ill go for something better.

... You don't have a single department store that sells adult diapers in one of the most prospering and oldest countries on the entire planet... I find that very hard to believe. I mean, he can squeeze into a baby diaper but it is definitely not going to absorb much or hold much of anything in that manner. I'm not criticizing I'm merely remarking on the paradox that adult diapers are generally easily attainable in any over the counter pharmacy and work much better on teenagers than baby diapers and so why would you even bother with the baby diapers, the price difference is minuscule. Sorry if I offended anyone, was not my intention.

Yes, it is hard to believe. But for diaper companies it wouldn't be profitable because we have the NHS (National Health Service). Which means if you need them, you get them perscribed by a doctor. So the people who need the diapers get them. For you they are, but you don't get free medical treatment, do you? It's all privatised, isn't it? Ours is a state service, and as a knock on effect, most medical needs a catered for within that service. Some shops occasionally have them, but very rarely, and even more rarely that they come as tape ones. Just because you can do something in your country, doesn't mean we can in ours. If you can't find a medical supplies depot or a specialist pharmacy in your area, then it is practically impossible to find anything. You have to remember that different countries have different methods of doing things to yours. I don't say learn everything about other countries (that's impossible) but if something comes across as weird in another country, and other members from that country confirm it, there is probably a reason somewhere why that country is different to yours, as opposed to them just being wrong.
