if u need to reinforce them use Duct tap but put something between ur skin and the tape, eg a piece of kitchen towel or some old rags to make sure it doesnt stick to ur skin as it would be extremely painful to peel off the tape from ur skin. and i have done it, not with diapers but i got a little too drunk and woke up with it around my chest it felt like my skin was being pulled off...

Once I bought large by mistake (I wear medium). What I did was to wear them over a pair or two of medium. Put on the diaper that fits and carefully poke holes in the plastic to make them leak. Then put the too-big diaper on over it. It will fit better and you'll have a super thick diaper that won't leak overnight.
