I prefer disposables primarily b/c they are what I was raised in. Also... they are cleaner than cloth ones & don't irritate my skin.

Sure, they may contribute more to a landfill... but the washing machine and dryer are the two most energy-consuming appliances in the household... so I'd rather not have to do any more laundry than I absolutely need.

Personally I don't use stuffers. I have tried them in the past... and I don't typically double or triple diaper either as I find that wasteful. If I am having a problem with a diaper lacking absorbancy I will just go with a thicker one like Dry 24/7 or X-Plus. So far I haven't needed (or wanted) anything better than the Dry 24/7s.

If we had a washer and dryer, I wouldn't mind. But we take our laundry to our grandmothers, so I'd have to do them by hand.

It was mostly just an idea since we have 5-10 towels we're about to throw away if we can't find a use for them.

If you're just going to throw them away then just cut them to diaper sized pieces and use them so I say, nothing wrong with that is it

I wash my liners out in the bathroom sink, and hang them to dry outside, if it's sunny they dry in less than an hour, but for the last few days it's been cool and I hang them inside and they dry overnight.

Make sure you have air ventilation in the room you air dry your clothes or you can get mould in the wall and ceiling!

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and try it. Was gonna trash them anyway. I'll do it the next time he wears. Our friend is staying with us for 2 weeks till his apartment is ready, and they work the same hours. So yeah, prob not a lot of diapering the next few weeks.

But I'll let you guys know how it goes. ^^

sure sounds good, I'd love to hear how cloth can work together with disposables! Or.. if it doesn't work out that well, I'd still like to hear
