It seems to me that there are two different types of people into diapers: those who like the object (the diaper itself, just the look and feel of it), and those who like the idea (the things a diaper means, like the sort of babyishness of it all).
I think DLs are generally attracted to the diaper as an object - the diaper is fetish object for them, like a person into leather like leather. So these sort of people would have no interest in using their diaper - it's not something to be used like that. It’s a piece of clothing that looks/feels really sexy. The other type - those who like the diaper because of what it means - are generally more *Bs. To them, it's more about the fact that babies wear diapers. So if they wear a diaper, they feel more babyish. Babies use their diaper, so *Bs probably do to. Of course, some aren't particularly into this aspect of *Bism, and so may not use their diaper at all. But it's not always just about babyishness (is that a word? ), it's sometimes about the emotions a diaper brings - you're free to go to the toilet wherever you want, you don't have to worry, because the diaper is wrapped tightly around you. So there can be people who like that feeling - and so like diapers - without liking any other *B stuff. These sort of people probably like the idea of using their diaper. But I would still consider these people *Bs, because their reasons for liking diapers are totally different to that of DLs.Now there's also a 3rd group I haven't mentioned- those people who enjoy the more humiliating aspects of wearing diapers. These people don't really fit the definition of *B or DL. I guess they're more people who enjoy humiliation, and diapers happen to be one of (or maybe even the only) the ways they express that. They may or may not want to use it, it depends on the person. Or course, it's rare that people fit distinctly into categories. Most people are a mix of different things, or like little bits of one thing. But from observation I have seen these different groups. Anyway, conclusion. If someone is what I consider to be a DL, they won't enjoy using their diapers. Some may do, but that would make me think that they are at least a little bit *B. *Bs may or may not use, depending on the person, but they've probably though about it and like the idea - it's just the negative bits outweigh the good feeling. Of course, you maybe be totally different. In fact, I'd love for someone to come up here and prove me wrong, to show that all these different groups don't exist. And finally - what I do. I love the feeling of using my diaper, but I just don't get the time. I don't use every time I wear because all I have are pull-ups and so I can put them on and take the off until I do use them. But things are going to change once I move out! Woah, this turned out longer than I expected. Sorry guys. |

![]() In fact I've always considered myself to be a DL, since I love diapers. I love how they feel, how they smell, how they look, how they crinkle... only thing I don't know is how they taste ( ), but the other 4 senses are deeply involved in my diaper-related activities. But from the first time I wore a diaper on purpose, I did that for using it and taking advantage of it, not for any humiliation or baby-feeling purpose, simply because I like using them the exact way they're meant to be, no regression or roleplay involved. And there's no way I'll be wearing a diaper without using it, it's nearly automatic for me... as I put a diaper on, my body relaxes and turns to a kind of an "IC mode". So..... which of your categories do I fit in? ![]() ![]() As always, I think that putting labels on ourselves is pretty useless (not only for dl-related matters, but generally speaking), I simply am myself and wouldn't bother to "categorize" myself to help people having a semplicistic view of the great, unique and wonderful complexity that each individual represents. Sure, "labels" make everything easier, and average people tend to prefer easy things rather than complex ones, but the negative side is that you'll be likely viewed as someone you're not, since labels are stereotypes, and no one 100% perfectly fits in a stereotype. So.... screw labels and just be yourself! |

Clearly though, it's a lot more complicated than that. |

I believe the main reason that pushes people into searching some category to fit in is the initial insecurity to live with feelings that differ from what's considered average. But after the initial "shock", the inner "complicateness" that each one of us has can only be an added value. If all of us could always know exactly what to expect from every single person we meet, what a boring world this would be! Oh, I was just forgetting...... Go diaper users!! ![]()

Haha... I wish I could say the same.
I have some kind of.... broken-toilet-phobia. I get scared that it could overflow or something else could go wrong in the tank on the back. It's... weird. But the toilet can be a really good thing sometimes.Anyway, as for diapers.... I feel like I wasted a diaper if I don't use it, so I always use it (but usually just to pee). |

I wear mine quite a bit without using. Often on weeknights, I'll start feeling kind of babyish right as I'm getting ready for bed. So I'll put one on, but I don't want to wet before I go to sleep because it'll irritate my skin to be in a wet diaper all night. Then the next morning, when I have to get up super early to go to work, it's faster and easier just to take the diaper off and use the toilet. I don't have to worry about leaks or having to take the diaper out to the dumpster before I leave. It's just simpler. Plus I've found lately that I really just enjoy wearing the diaper more so than using it.

I used to feel the urge to use and make the most of the time that I got to wear diapers (when living with the parents)... and nothing can beat that feeling of just going when every thing is all warm and squishy. But now that I am a poor college student I mostly try to get as much actual wearing time before i use them. Plus my gf isn't/can't get that used to using them yet... So basically I've learned to just enjoy the feel of them.
Does anyone know any good refastenable plastic backed diapers? |

Same for me. Usually I just pee in my diaper, but if I need to poop while I'm wearing one, then usually I do that in my diaper too. I feel pretty much the say an you Darkfinn, for me diapers are utilitarian and I use them for what they are intended. I couldn't really think of a reason to wear one only to wear one, but then again, i'm not a *B, just a DL, so using the diaper is part of it.
