PeeJ's are a diaper alternative. They are basically trackies that have an absorbent lining in them to soak up wetness. The are made for bedwetters who do not want to wear diapers.

My wife and I are going for a drive of about an hour so she thought it best that I wear some protection. Her choice was an Abriflex puu-on and white Babykins thin guage plastic panties. They can be pulled down like underwear but are there to be used if the need arises.
