I've got to bring my laptop to school tommorow to work on a project. It involves connecting to the internet and all that jazz. Thing is, I don't want to connect to the school's network if they can read my browser history. They're very strict on inappropriate material and such (and not just graphic material, game websites and stuff), and they can control connected computers remotely from the IT office.
Also, I have a load of porn (diaper related and normal) saved to my computer. Any suggestions on how I can save myself from the intrusions of the IT people? |

Since when does your school have any business snooping around your private files and history? If they don't want you to connect to the sites you mentioned (porn/games/illegal stuff) while you're using the school network...that's understandable. What you're doing at home is your own problem, and your school has no right accessing that data.
That said, if you want to use your computer at school, open up a new user account on Windows (assuming you're using it), move any files you need for your project to that account and then simply use that account on the school network, as that account is completely clean (no browsing history, no bad files). Accessing your other account's data would require hacking by the school officials - I hadly think that's legal! Peachy

Peachy is right they have no right to access your files unless you are being suspected of terrorist involvement and I hardly think you are one o I think you are safe. But in the future you should do what I do which is save all files such as the ones you are talking about on a portable hard drive and I also keep a proxy server saved on a flash drive that my high school couldn't block.
